I want you to know how truly blessed and excited I am to be the new pastor of Marbledale Baptist Church. It is such a wonderful church with a rich history of service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To follow in the footsteps of former pastors like Al Smith and Oliver Wolfenbarger, who are both wonderful men of God, are some pretty big shoes to fill. Not only does Marbledale have a great past, but an even brighter future. Mark 9:23 says “all things are possible to Him that believeth” and I believe that Marbledale’s best days are still yet to come.

I have been married for 27 years to my wonderful wife Lisa. We have three sons. Stephen is 24 years old, married to Nadine and has one son, Landon, who is three years old. Patrick is 22 years old and married to Jenna. Tyler is our youngest son. He is 17 years old and a senior at Jefferson County High School. I have been a pastor for 20 years with Marbledale being my fifth church.

I grew up in this community and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. I have attended Marbledale Baptist Church regularly since March of 2007, when I married my husband , David. I joined the church in January 2011. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University in 2004 and received my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee in 2006. I currently work part-time at St. Mary’s of Campbell County as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I enjoy playing the piano and sharing my faith through song. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and our two year old daughter, Elsa. I am so excited to be serving as Director of Children’s Ministries at Marbledale, and I hope to be able to provide many opportunities for the children at Marbledale to have fun and to learn about God’s love.
